Being the son of a prominent trade unionist was his ticket into the Esterwegen concentration camp reserved for leftist activists considered a threat to the Third Reich. But life in the camp molded Krisch into something much more dangerous – a man hardened against fear who is ready to risk everything to liberate his comrades and Germany.
